What contact lenses brand do you recommend for a first time user?

i have used glasses all my life and now i'm realizing the need for contact lenses for special occasions. I do not intend on wearing contacts everyday, i just need some for those special events..which brand do you recommend most and why. i need basic comfortable lenses.

daily contact lenses are best - acuvue are a good brand in the uk, your optician should be able to recommend one

daily contacts are best for eyes - changing daily, they can't accumulate anything that'd irritate the eye, and if you're only wearing them occasionally you don't have to worry about cleaning solutions etc

I use Acuvue by Johnson & Johnson and they are great! They're very light and I can't even feel them in my eyes! They may be a bit pricey though.

Since you are only wearing on special occasions, I would reccommend Acuvue Daily Disposable contact lenses, this  increases the conveniece and comfort as compared to long-term contact lenses because it eliminates the need for daily cleaning and occasional blur due to improper cleaning. Although Acuvue Daily Disposable contact lenses may be more expensive than other brands and long-term contact lenses, it does not require you to buy a muti-purpose solution, which in turn helps you to save money.

I'm the 3rd person who is saying this but if I were u, I'd go with Acuvue Oasis. I've tried different contact lenses mainly colors and year-arounds and I must say that Oasis is the best one I've tried by far. Sometimes I get so used to them that I totally forget I'm wearing contacts at all and thats what makes them better.

Acuve oasis. Love them. They're not dry, they're a little bit blue so easy to find if you dropped them, and easy to put in and wear for hours.

Of course, talk to you're eye doctor. Stronger brand, you'd have to use a different lense.  I have -1.25 vision I think and Acuve works great for me.

Biomedics 55, I wear them everyday for about 5 years now, very comfortable, unnoticible. So if its comfortable for everyday wear it will be comfortable for those occasions.
