  1. we actually aren't part of a continent however we are part of a cluster of islands called the west indies or caribbean...columbus mistakenly sailed here when headed for india hence the name. we are found near is;ands such as jamaica, trinidad, st.lucia etc

    Why I say a certain size because Australia by defination is an island but is considered a continent.
