What controller do you use on the wii's virtual console?

On the virtual console for the wii can i use my regular wii remote for any game? I don't have a gamecube or classic controller. I want to download super mario 64 and mario bros. 2.

Yes you can use your wii remote for NES games on the VC.  For the N64 games, you need a gamecube controller.  You can buy an original for around $20.  Or, you can buy a knock-off version from a game store like Gamestop for around $10 to $15.  Just FYI, I wouldn't necessarily buy a classic controller for the Wii.  I bought one and I hardly ever use, unless I'm playing some of the SNES games on the VC.

you can use the wii remote for mario bros 2 but i use the gamecube for super mario 64

It's called the Wii Virtual Console Controller and I guess it's okay to use your Wii's regular controller.

yea of course at the top of ur wii plug it in
