What converter should I use?

Hi can anyone give me a link to download a simple converter that can convert tons of stuff?I got the cucusoft converter but after I converted my movies it said Trial Version on them throughout the whole movie and the quality was reduced...wtf...cucusoft is the worst program ever I swear....please what should i download?Thanks.
