  1. Mortar and pestal perhaps. And of course the good old wooden spoon

  2. similar to hand held cooking utensils now.  Wooden spoons, metal spoons, ceramic bowls for mixing, bread tins, fairy/cup cake tins, pastry brushes, meat tenderisers and also hand whisks (where you turn the handle) and meat mincers.

  3. In 1920's people use to cook food with wooden and clay utensiles.

  4. According to my trusty old cookbooks there was a huge variety of stuff.  Pretty much the same as we use today but pots and pans were more likely cast iron, copper or enamel.  The utensils were pretty much the same as well, whisks, slotted spoons, wooden spoons, ladles, strainers, moulds, scales, knives, roasting pans, sugar boilers, steamers, mincers.  Meat screens, coolgardie safe, coke/wood fired ovens.  Kettles, oventop percolators.  But once again, I wasn't alive then so it's hard to say what the average home would have actually had.  I don't think things have really changed that much - just the materials they're made from.
