What cool fish shall i out in my new 60 gallon 225 litre fish tank?

New tank for my room, cant decide wat to fill it with, need some eyecatchers any tips plz

African cichlids.  25-30 of various kinds would be a beautiful tank.

A clown knife and a couple Jack Dempseys or blue acaras, along with a plecostamus.

Angelfish and gouramis would be another good choice.

By the way, alligator gars can easily get too large for any home tank (6 feet, 200 pounds), so that would be a no-no.

personally, i wouldn't go with an oscar, they need bigger tanks eventually

but you do have some options here

as example african cichlids you could do the following

4 yellow labs (1 male & 3 females)

4 socolfis (1 male & 3 females)

4 electric blues (1 male & 3 females)

that's it on regards the cichlids but you can add

6 giant danios

6 short finned serpae tetras

6 buenos aires tetras

as well as

1 pair of bristlenose plecos (bottom feeder)

only a few plants will survive with these fish though

like anubis and amazon sword

lot's of rocks and hiding spots for them

then there are of course the more peaceful cichlids you can have

1 pair of kribensis

1 pair of blue or golden rams

that's it for cichlids as well

6 silver tipped tetras

6 giant danios

6 rainbow fish

6 serpae tetras

1 pair of bristlenose plecos

6 kuhli loaches

this would make a very nice colorful tank as well

also plants are nice with this setup

amazon swords

anubis

water wisteria are just some examples

hiding spots are necessary

or you go with a tropical community tank like

1 pair of angles

1 pair of gouramis

3 guppies

3 swordtails

3 mollies

6 cardinal tetras

6 zebra danios

6 rummy nose tetras

6 rasboras

6 cory cats

6 otocinclus

this would also make a very nice colorful setup

You can put fish that eat the skum like a sucker fish or a snail! Then you can put clown fish and maybe crab. It depends what time of water you have is it freash water or salt water i think so to get your fish you need to know what type of water!

maybe you can get some nice schooling fish like 10 cories, 15 neon tetras, 15 black neon tetras, 15 red minor tetras all of these are prfect matches and they love being in large schools they will add lots of energy and color in to the tank

Definitely cichlids. If you get a white sandy bottom, a few large rocks you're set. There are so many different types of -amazingly- coloured cichlids out there you'll be amazed.
