I know Hooters is good, but are there any other ones? I also tried IHOP, and I thought it stunk.

  1. Andy's

  2. You have to go to phily my friend they have Pat's and Gino's chessesteaks wonte find ne thing like the real thing i recommed Ginos much better but its up to u i noe there not corporate restuarrantes sry

  3. Boston Pizza has an amazing sandwich but its actually roast beef but its done just like a philly sandwich! They are really tender. Worth trying out for sure.

  4. D'Angelo's

  5. I preach this often-- what we gained in convenience and consistency, we have lost in taste and authenticity. Long live the old ma and pa sub shops-- the only places you could get a REAL sub with quality ingredients. I refuse to go to any of those other places-- the Subways, the Quizno's, and the other processed chains that have ruined the real thing. So what's the  best? I wouldn't say if I thought there was one, since that only contributes to the  problem by lowering our standards. The *best* is only a predictable shadow of the real thing.

  6. i know subway has the worst.

  7. WAFFLE HOUSE, JERRY's, & Great American Steak....

  8. Quizno's is pretty good

  9. O'Charleys is decent...

i don't know if it's a nationwide chain, but it's a chain in Atlanta; Houston's would be the best you've ever eaten.  oh, wait, theirs may actually be a french dip...but it is the BOMB!

  10. Jerry's on the East Coast

  11. Penn station all the way baby! And they make the best fries with real potatos instead of the mashed dried potato that is then made into fry shape and deep fried! mmm

  12. Hooter's is awesome! I also like Charley's and Jersey Mike's.

  13. Penn Station without a doubt. Sometimes corporate is better than local.

  14. D'angelo's. They are a chain of sandwich shops throughout the New England states and Florida.

I have had cheesesteaks all over the country, including Pat's and Geno's in Philadelphia. The cheesesteak at D'Angelo's is the closest thing I've had to Pat's anywhere else. I do prefer the Pat's style of sandwich to that of Geno's; but if you ask 100 people, you'll get half of them preferring Pat's the other half Geno's.

Most other places don't know how to make a real Philly Cheesesteak. They think putting meat and cheese and onions on a roll is a Philly Cheesesteak; but it isn't. It's just a steak and cheese sandwich with onions.

There is a certain feel and texture to a real Philly Cheesesteak. If they've never been to either Pat's or Geno's, they have no idea!

  15. Philly's Cheesesteak Company, Duh!!!!

  16. I hate ALL corporate cheesesteakes!!! I like the local ones better!!!! Where u can actually see the grease stains on the brown paper bag.☺
