What could Dragon Ball GT have done to save itself?

ok so I just heard on somewhere (I dont remember where but it is ture) that 70% of Dragon Ball Fans dosent consider GT a part of Dragon Ball.They consider it a Fan Made thing that never existed.Which somehow got the licence to make Episodes but they dont care they still count it as Fake

So what do you think GT could have done to save itself and get people to like it?

- They should have left goku an Adult

- they should have given more air time to vegeta, goten and other characters

- they made gohan and goten too human like instead of being half saiyan

- they should have added better villains and had a better story line instead of the classic "hunt for the dragon balls", its been done too many times.

- if they got really desperate they could have added a super saiyan 5 or some other new form.

- Goku should have died in a climatic battle instead of giving up his life using his cheat more the spirit bomb.

- they definetly should have at least shown the fates of all the other Z fighters after goku died.

- the animation could have been better

- way to much talking and not enough action ( Drag-on ball z)

- they definetly should have released some movies during this time.

- 64 episodes is too short, they could have been creative and added more sagas

also yeah DBZ gt is a letdown to the DB franchise but it was definetly written, animated and produced by Toei studios the same studio who did everything else dbz so its not fan made its just a poor edition to the dbz world.

The problem with GT is that Akira Toriyama had nothing to do with it.  Thats why so many don't believe it to be canon.  

Toriyama was the creator of Dragonball, and had written the manga that DB and DBZ were both based on.  The show had really run its course already, and Toriyama actually had wanted to end Dragonball long before he actually did, but due to its popularity and pressure from his publishers, had to keep stretching it out.

He sort of supervised where they went with the story in GT, but was not directly involved in its production.  The show was also not based on any manga that had been or was currently being produced.

Overall, the magic of dragonball had died out, and much of the popularity of the series waned.

Recently, Toriyama and his production company began work on what will be a MMORPG set in the dragonball universe - hundreds of years in the future.  It is said that it will completely ignore DBGT.  That won't help Gts reputation either.  There are currently no plans for an american release of the game.

So, to directly answer your question, In order for GT to have saved itself, it would have to somehow force Toriyama to actually be involved in its production, but that really would not have been fair to him or his creations.

Making it longer would be awesome. And making the story line totally different than what was set up and have the real Toriyama make the story first.

The easiest way to put it is like this,Akira Toriyama had to make it .DragonBall gt to me is the worst **** ever made on this earth.I am the worlds biggest dbz fan and i consider gt fucked up peice of junk.But the 3 main things in gt that were the most pissing out **** of all where:

1-Goku being a small fucked up kid.

2-The enemies where so fucked up they could have at least put patrick and spongebob as the main enemies.

3-The ending made me cry of being so ******* pissed.Goku jr vs vegeta jr,lmfao.b*****d creator.that was soooooo ******* annoying.

ok thats 3 out of 9,999,999,999 things that pissed me off about dbgt.

That's because it isn't part of the main story line.  It's Non-Cannon (the Cannon is the Manga and there was no GT Manga).  

It could have saved itself the trouble and not existed at all.  People are still talking about AF (aka April Fools)

Made GT longer and show whats happening with Goku Jr. and Vegeta Jr., also the sagas shouldve been longer and goku didnt have to turn into a kid

the fights on dragonball z, although slow, is what made the anime. the fights when by too quickly to make anyone interested, besides every fight, goku would just beat anyone in like 10 minutes into the show or into the next episode. it just became too predictable for me too fein interest.

For DBGT to Work:

* They should have Scratch turning Goku into a child again, and atleast try to make it look like that others besides him were strong

* They would have had to change Pan's attitude, and made her less annoying

* Gohan would have had to lose that geek attitude he had, and join the Z Fighters again

* Vegeta should`ve kept his hair-style from DBZ

* Piccolo should`net have been Killed Off

* That negative energy buildup idea in the Dragon Balls was dumb as h**l they should`ent have done that

* Finally, They should`ent have made a Super Saiyan 4, Super Saiyan 3 was powerful enough or they should have atleast made a Super Saiyan 5 because leaving things at Super Saiyan 4 felt like they left it in the middle of the story.I would have like GT a little better if they ended things with Super Saiyan 5 instead of copying DBZ and ending it again with Spirit Bomb
