Question:

What could I be?

I never meet my grandpa from dad's side. I always wanted to know my background. It haunts me that I got no clue on what my heritage is from. My grandpa had blue eyes, tall, blond hair, and a big nose. I came out tall, light brown eyes, brown hair, mixed curly and straight. My last name is Favela, so what could I might be?

By the way my grandma and dad have no clue either where he's from.

  1. I'm only taking a stab, but you could be danish.

  2. per familysearch.org (which uses many original sources), the name shows up in Mexico, South American and even Portugal. I'm surprised that grandma had no information about where he came from. If he was born prior to 1930, and was in the US, it is very probable that we can find him or his parents in the census. That would give the persons place of birth AND of his/her parents.  The only thing to be careful about is assuming that all your background (or his) comes from the last name.  IE, he might have been born to a Portuguese father and German mother.

Appearance is not reliable at all.

you can edit your question to include his name and date/place of death.. the US census is open to 1930, but the UK only goes up to 100 yrs (1901).

  3. Filipino or Greek?
