What could I use to control and monitor a computer through another one without having to have two people?

How would I set up something like Remote Assistance to where I can monitor and control it whenever I want to without having to get verification by the other computer?(I want to control my home computer from my laptop; I don't want to have to place all my files from my desktop onto my laptop)
