I built a table with oak and is now covered with water based latex white primer...Is there a spray or paing {{either clear or white]] coating to make its waterproof and easy to clean?

  1. lacquer ; )  Just spray on and it will waterproof it.... do you want it to have the white primer?  if you are painting it another color the lacquer should be the last step as it is clear.... if you want a very high shine/smooth surface you should use an ultra fine sand paper between coats of the lacquer


  2. You can use lacquer, but you have to know what you&#039;re doing. It&#039;s best to let a professional spray that for you, and it does not only come in clear; you can get any color you want in lacquer, but make sure they use a conversion lacquer ( catalyzed ).

    If you choose to do it yourself use a spar varnish, which can be purchased at any hardware store.

    Also, make sure you seal ( paint ) the underside as well.

  3. I used a spray on my wood-frame couch from Rustoleum. The can says &quot;Crystal Clear Enamel.&quot; It has held up really well so far. And I have four rowdy kids. :)
