ok well its a little embarrasing but here it goes. Hmm I'm 19, and well it happened like three or four times to me. when i went to the restroom and i wiped like a little dot of blood was on the paper. Today when i went it had a little more blood, and a little peace of my stool had blood on it. I want to know if this could be serious or if it could go away? someone that knows please.

  1. I am a CCMA

If the blood is at either end of the stool it is caused by a fissure or a hemorrhoid.. If the blood is in the center of the stool, is a lot, or turns the stool black you need to see a doctor as this is a sign of a possible bleeding ulcer

  2. sometimes if you wipe to hard that can happen

  3. was your stool hard? sometimes if its really hard stool it tears your skin and causes some tiny spotting. it usually goes away... also if your irritated from going a lot through out the day it could also cause some small spotting..

  4. Blood in your stools, or bleeding from the a**s can be the sign of bowel or prostate cancer.  It might also be haemorhoids (piles).  Either way, if it persists for mor than a day or two you should see a doctor to get checked out properly.

If bowel or prostate cancer is caught early enough it can be treated very easily with excellent prospects, whereas if ignored it can lead to premature death (I'm not exagerating here).

Cancer can affect people of any age, even otherwise healthy teens.
