hello im a 24 male i am a little overweight i smoke and have high cholesterol and tryglycerides!and i have a family history of heart disease. i did how ever drasticaly changed my diet and some what exercising! well it started about a lil over a month ago i was having bad chest pains on and off so i went to the ER they did an ekg, chest xray, and blood work everything was good then i went to my doc i was sent to for stress test again that was good!the doc said it could be bad anxiety and also acid reflux, heartburn b/c of the syptoms, (before all this started i started thinking that i was gonna die have a heart attack ect...it had me scared) so i took prilosec otc it helped with that pain and i was recently put on citalopram for anxiety it has helped but i still find myself time to time thinking of all this stuff. now my pain is sometimes in the center of my chest but mostly to the left and under and above my breast! sometime the pain will go down my arm a little bit and/or up my neck.i called the doc she said it might be a nerve problem so i am going to see a nuroligist. im still stumped on this situation and kinda worried. i do check my pulse when the pain comes on and its fine BP i dont know . so far my Bp have been normal sometimes it has been high! Sorry this is so long and might be confusing! just wanted to know if anyone had suggestions or might know anything! thanks alot

  1. It may sound weird, but you may just have the pains from gas. I get pains as high as just below my collar bone from gas (I have IBS). I have had an ECG done, but it all just keeps coming back to my stomach. Pay attention to what you do and eat before the pains start. You may be able to figure out what triggers the pains, and possibly solve the problem. If necessary, keep a log of everything you do and eat daily and look for patterns.

  2. no idea... but it sounds like  aheart attack but if the doc says no then it must be something else...just keep at it
