My dad was born in vietnam in 66 during the war, he never knew his father and his mother was a prostitut. He was half american so he had to survive in the jungle untill he was 7. Hes seen dead people, people get killed, had to eat people and animals to survive.

He came to american when he was 9. His first fosterfamily beat him alot and loved his sister. He was adopted by the VINE family and had a good life. Started school at 5th grade and during adolecence he was very involved in drugs. he developed diabeetes and always has high blood pressure.

When i was growing up he was very abusive and physical to me n my sister.

He calmed down when i grew up but he still has that fire.

He now drinks, and proably still dose drugs or occasionaly, meth ect.

Is this coming from his childhood? nobodys knows cause he never talks to people. He has abandonment issues. And he cant even hold a relationship

  1. It`s most definately from his childhood.

It`s extremely difficult, sometimes impossible to get over that, even with heavy and long term therapy.

Unfortunately he is passing some of this down to you girls whether you like it or not, it`s natural. Just as so many sexually abusive dads have.

Your poor dad has been suffering his entire life, and will until he`s gone.

He really does need a great therapist he can connect with. Good luck to you both.

  2. There are many factors to consider here. Abandonment issues, drug and alcohol abuse and diabetes. Some persons develop a period of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) if they take too much insulin. Hypoglycemia can produce an anger response in some individuals. It sounds to me as if you dad should be under the care of both a diabetic specialist and a psychiatrist.

  3. You really should seek mental/pysch help in your area for him. I believe it has a lot to do with his childhood and his growing up. He would want to get help in order for this to work. I believe that he should get help and also you/family therapy would help as well.
