I had a foglight kit hooked up to my 91 Acura Legend, and then one of the bulbs broke. Soon after I disconnected the foglights, I though my amp was dead. I came to realize that once I reconnected my foglights the amp worked again but now the headlights flicker with every boom of the base. what could be causing this. I even tried a different amp and still the same thing. This never happened before I disconnected and reconnected the foglights and I made sure that I reconnected them the same way they were. I can't drive with all this quiet!!!!!

  1. need a cap or second battery if the system is too powerful

put a yellow top on my 2400W system and lights still dimmed added a cap and it solved all the problems

  2. that usually happens because your amplifier is taking power to make the bass go boom boom booom. amore powerful battery could solve this problem. either a kinetic battery or an optima yellow top battery.

don't ad capacitors because you don't need them really. they store energy when you need it but the light problem will be solved with the new battery

  3. if i was you, i would take your car to pepboys/autozone/kragen to have your battery inspected. if the battery is good, then you might need to upgrade your alternator as it charges the battery when the car is running. i recommend doing this to cars with large audio setup. changing the battery might solve the problem but it will not eliminate it completely unless your current battery is really bad, but you can find that out after you have it inspected by a pro. good luck.
