Question:

What could be causing my tingling gums?

I had a tooth extraction 3 days ago...the first molar. Now I have this weird tingling sensation in my gums. The sensation isn't near the extraction site, it's closer to the midline. It isn't painful but it very irritating. What could be causing it? Also is it normal for a foul odor to be coming from the hole. No matter how much I gargle with salt water it always comes back. And it's pretty painful especially in the morning. It usually extends to the ear. Any help would be appreciated.
