My boyfriend has a sensation of burning on the right side of his chest. (It started late last night) It starts and stops in bursts and it happens at random times. He has mono right now as well. Could it be a symptom of mono? I think he may have persistent heartburn, but he didn't eat anything before the burning sensation occurred. Could it be heartburn? If not, what else could it be? Is there anything he can do to calm down the burning? Thank you in advance.
