A bit embarrassing, but, about an hour after a normal bowel movement I have a small amount of "leakage". A small amount of fecal material will come out. It causes irritation/rash/minor bleeding when wiped. Itching etc. NOT hemmoroids I'm sure, but some sort of surface irritation goin on here. Uncomfortable to say the least. Any ideas? (please no smart remarks) This is really concerning me.

  1. You should really consult your doctor...you have bleeding from your a**s and the irritation sounds like it  is persistent enough to cause you embarassment.

It could be piles, an anal fissure but it's less likely to be diverticular disease of the colon, polyposis, cancer of the bowel or ulcerative colitis.

The skin around the a**s has a propensity to itch, and can become inflamed and soggy.  The more you scratch, the worse the irritation becomes.  The condition is known medically as pruritis ani.  The causes are:  irritating soap, powders and ointments;  rough/tight clothes;  poor anal hygiene (not saying you don't have good personal hygiene);  piles;  anal fissures (infections caused by threadworms or thrush and/or disorders which cause itching, such as diabetes mellitus or jaundice).

Do not scratch...wear gloves in bed to stop scratching while asleep...keep the skin around the a**s clean and dry and only use a bland talcum powder (like baby powder with cornstarch).

  2. you may have simple thrush, see your doc

  3. Read about hemorrhoids  they are also on the inside not just the outside..they will have leakage, the will break and bleed from the inside. You need to get a cream with a small nozzle in it..it usually come in the box..use it also try cleaning with baby wipes after a movement to get real clean. Also if you have not cleaned good they will itch...So you have hemorrhoids!!!!  try this for a week and if it doesn't help then see a Dr.  I am sure this is the problem.  Google it!

  4. Gee, I don't know, ummm.... Oh! How about... SEE A DOCTOR!!
