What could be the cause of this? ?

I'm laying down comfortably, about to fall asleep, and all of a sudden I get this feeling like.. it's hard to explain. It feels sort of like I'm falling or about to fall, and then my body jerks. It only happens for a second if that and then I'm back to normal, but it's pretty freaky when it does happen (it doesn't happen much, last night was the first time it happened in a month or two).

I haven't thought about telling my mom to get me to a doctor, since it only happens occasionally, and it doesn't hurt or anything; just feels weird. But does anyone know what it could be?

  1. Quite normal. This can happen when your muscles are more relaxed or kind of , fall asleep before your mind does. It's a strange feeling and , it briefly wakes you up but, then you fall asleep afterwards.

    Again, quite normal.

I hope that this is helpful.

  2. i don't know what causes it the same thing happens to me.i also notice it happens when i start to fall asleep fast.

  3. Well i don't think you need to go to the doctor for that cause this happens to me too. I don't really know the cause, but i think that your brain thinks that your falling so it's telling your body to do something about it, that's why your body just suddenly jerks.
