The beak has grown and grown, it was trimmed many times but now the skin is visible. I don't want to hear "go to the vet" as i don't have good vets in my country. I would like to know treatment suggestions.

  1. The problem might be with the maxilla tip.  This is a common site of overgrowth.  The recommended treatment is trimming, which you do.

Since the beak and the feathers are made of the same material, a dry or pealing beak that's also accompanied by a long molt many times means that the bird's diet is deficient in an amino acid known as methionine.  Does your bird also have long molts and/or insufficient feather production?  If so, this is the problem, and additional methionine will need to be introduced into it's diet.
