It just stopped working, I don't know the reason. I changed the batteries but still, I'm not sure if anyone let it fall or they got it wet or something. Does anyone has any idea what could be wrong with it.

should I just get a universal one, or try to fix it myself or go get it fixed somewhere??

  1. new batteries could be bad too!

  2. Did you try another set of batteries as well first? Otherwise keep it and take it in for repair if you like. I highly doubt it will be inexpensive though. Probably better to go get universal, they are relatively cheap depending on needs.

  3. If you have a video camera, look through the viewfinder and point the camera at the remote and press a button.  The camera picks up infrared, and if the remote is working, it will flash in the camera's viewfinder.  If it doesnt, then time to get a new remote.

  4. ASSUMING THE BATTERIES ARE GOOD YOU MIGHT CHECK TO SEE IF THE REMOTE FEATURE ON YOUR DVD IS ON...MANY WILL ALLOW YOU TO TURN OFF THE REMOTE FEATURE....ALSO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOTHING IN FRONT OF THE SENSOR ON BOTH THE PLAYER AS WELL AS THE REMOTE
