I have a 1994 Honda Accord that I just LOVE. It has low miles and is the best car ever....except for one problem...... No heat or A/C. The fan blows out air but its hot air in summer and cold in the winter. I know I need to have it checked out but does anyone here have any ideas? Any ideas on what it could be and price to have it fixed?

  1. I DON'T KNOW

    GOOD LUCK:)

  2. if the air is hot and the summer and cold in the winter its "ambient" or "outside' air that is coming in.  the heat and air conditioning are controlled by movable doors inside the air distribution system.  when you move the controls for temperature and vents they in turn move the doors to different positions to give you heat or, through a differnent channel to give you air contifioning.

the air blend door is the movable door that is a problem for you.  it is apparently stuck in air conditoning mode so that no air is going over the heater core.  your second problem is that the air conditioning is not working, probably because it is low on refrigerant or has a leak.

the temperature setting is what controls the air blend door. you're problem may be with a cable or motor for that door (depending on which is used on your car) or with the control panel itself.

you will need to have it diagnosed to determine which is the case.

    hope that helps

  3. could be the fuse or relay for your climate control system is dead.

it can also just be the fan motor that's dead.

  4. may need freon or charge to compressor or may need new thermostat

  5. call an autozone
