  1. Time to visit the pediatrician and have some tests run. Blood test, and like the other poster stated thyroid test. Good luck!

  2. My mom said I had the same problem when I was in school way back then, I had hypothyroidism, ask your doctor to do tests for this,  I still take thyroid meds today for it,

  3. What country said, plus buy him some pedisure for school & home.

  4. What time are you putting him to bed? Children  need lots of sleep, probably at least 9-10 hrs. He just may be one of those kids who needs lots of sleep. As far as him eating, some kids go through periods when they eat, and eat, and eat, then periods when they only eat a little. I suppose it all depends on how long this has been going on. See your Dr. if it continues longer than you feel comfortable with. lol

  5. If he is being offered proper nutrition and enough sleep and still has this problem, I would be concerned enough to have him evaluated by a physician.

  6. He is probably anemic. Which is when there is not enough iron in the blood. Take him to the doctor and get him tested.  Have them test for everything. He could also have lukemia which is a blood cancer.  Take him and take him TODAY!

  7. Doctor/medical attention first, eating disorder?  Seek medical help.

  8. Get him on childrens vitamins and make sure he gets enough sleep at night and is active

    take him to the doctor

  9. Does he have a television in his bedroom?  If he does TAKE IT OUT.  It has been proven that televisions in children's bedrooms cause sleep disorders/sleep depravation and children wind up doing poorly in school, some fall asleep in class, they don't get any recupertive sleep because they don't get REM sleep because of the flickering light of the television, they also start having eating problems.  If he doesn't have a television in his room TAKE HIM TO THE DOCTOR.

  10. Does he snore?  Sleep apnea in children is a serious problem - there's a whole list of potential negatives.  If his tonsils are enlarged they could be blocking his airway at night, as well as making it difficult to eat.

  11. Your child could be lacking iron or some other vitamin. I would ask your doctor next time you go for a visit. If you that worried I would call your doctor's office.

  12. If you are sure he is getting enough sleep at night, you should definitely take him to the doctor. You are better off being safe and having him looked at. GL

  13. That sounds a lot like a little girl I have in my class. She falls asleep during instruction time or whenever the class is quiet (ie: taking an exam).

I talked to her and it turned out her Mom is having a new baby so they had to move into a new apartment. The child doesn't have a Dad, so her and Mom were doing all the work of setting up their home.

I QUICKLY put an end to that.
