Okay this is about my mother.. whom my dad is showing concern over her behaviour..

My mum works part time in a care home, and apart from that she spends most of her time sleeping. Can this be normal? she wakes up at about 6am everyday for an hour or two and if shes working later on in the day, she'll go back to sleep until then.. and she goes to bed at night around 7pm at latest! if its a morning shift, as soon as she gets home at 2pm she goes straight to bed exhausted.. i dunno if its anything to worry about... is there something wrong?

  1. Talk to her about your worries and let her know that you are concerned. It can be quite exhausting helping people and listening to their problems, tell her to see her local doctor, also her diet might need changing to give her extra energy. Once in a habit it is hard to change, but gradually changing her sleeping habits and her diet, it might benefit her and also she will have time to spend with you. All the best.

  2. sounds like depression. depression can take a toll on a person's energy levels and their will to live a healthy, active life. it wouldn't be uncommon either since she works in a care home (that kind of work can take a toll on a person). try getting her to see a doctor

  3. Your mam may be exhausted ask her if she needs any thing doing while shes at work or even better just do your bit of looking after the house ask if she would like to go out for the day make a fuss of her let her no that she works hard and she deserves to be a little spoilt once in a while
