What could be wrong with my 1990 BMW 325is if the fog lights keeps on getting burnt?

sorry for lack of details. the bulb is keep on getting burn.

  1. check to see how much resistance is going through your fog light circuit, too little resistance will allow the fog lights to be very bright, but will burn out quicker then if there was the correct amount of resistance


  2. do you mean the bulbs keep on burning out? moisture ingression into the foglight housings will cause the bulbs to burn out prematurly, when the lights are on and have had a chance to warm up, you can usually see moisture condensing on the inside of the lens. check to be sure the cover is on correct on the back of the housing as to not let moisture in. also check the seal around the lens.

  3. Oh please elaborate.  Whats "getting burnt"??/

    Going to guess what you are taling about in a way likr your question.. .

    1. Any cracks or holes in the glass lets cold water touch a hot bulb and then it goes burnt.

    2. Don't touch the glass of the new bulbs with your skin/fingers.
