What could be wrong with rear brakes?

I have a 2006 Honda Accord SE. I recently had the rotors resurfaced and the brake pads changed. I had a very good friend who knows a ton about cars replace the right rear cylinder. It was going to be too expensive if done at Honda. Honda said I needed a new right rear one. Anyways, I noticed today that I have to push harder down on the brakes than I did before. Also, I noticed rust on the right rear rotor whereas all the rest had no rust. Meaning the right rear was not braking. I also noticed the emergency brake was way too easy to pull up. I tested it outside a few minutes ago and pulled the emergency brake while going 30mph. I did not stop. I just slowed down. I am going to go to Honda tomorrow because I do not want to take it back to my friend. What do you think is wrong with the right rear? I had the rotors resurfaced, new pads, and a new caliper on the right rear only. I know nothing about cars and do not want to be taken advantage of so I just was wondering what I should have them check to sound knowledgeable. Thanks so much!!!!

  1. rear calipers are notorious for seizing up,which is whats happened to yours...search breakers/salvage yards for a replacement...

  2. they're broke. fix 'em please.

  3. He may not have bled the brake system after replacing the caliper or he failed to correctly adjust the parking brake adjusters. easy fix. Flush the system while you are at it  Brake fluid is anhydrous, that is it absorbs water and by flushing it you remove contaminants that shorten the life of your system.
