What could brown vaginal discharge mean?

I have been having s*x with a few different people lately, and am wondering if I might have something. The discharge smells a little different, but not too much, and it is light brown and occasionally has blood in it. This has just started today. I had s*x recently with someone very big, but not sure if that matters one way or another.

Did you recently finish having your period?  It’s probably just the blood that’s left coming out.  It can sometimes look brown like that.

Douching won't solve your problem.  It may actually cause more problems.  Doctors say you shouldn't douche because it can lead to irritation, bacterial vaginosis, and pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).

Assuming this was protected s*x... the brown discharge could definitely be old blood from your last period. If you have no other symptoms (pain, irritation, rash, etc...) then I wouldn't worry too much.

if your period wasn't that long ago maybe you left a tampon in and it got lost...if that's is truly the case, just wash your hands real good and fish it out.

Sounds like either your uterus lining that has been in there for a long time (a light period) or a vaginal infection.

Try a douche.  that should clean it out and stop it. if it doesn't, then you need antibotics.

Brown vaginal discharge is often dried blood, from before or after your period. It is absolutely normal. I would just suggest getting a few panty liners.

How long ago was your last period? Is it regular? Sometimes after your period you can get brownish reddish colored discharge. How often do you have it. I am not up to par on my STD's but I don't think I've heard of brown discharge being associated with an STD.

Regardless, why have you been having s*x with lots of people lately?

And why aren't you using protection?

I've heard of women having a discharge due to pregnancy, could that be possible?

Not trying to be rude, but seems there are quite a few issues going on with you right now and Yahoo Answers probably isn't going to give you the help you really need.

Make an appointment with the gyno today or ASAP. And talk to someone about why you have been having promiscuous s*x. It may feel good, but it's dangerous and unhealthy, physically and mentally.

Find someone you are in love with and do it with that person - otherwise I imagine you might be feeling more like a piece of meat rather than a beautiful, s**y, desirable woman - like you should be feeling.

Most guys will do any woman that lets them - ugly, pretty, skinny, fat, all 4 limbs or just 2 - really doesn't matter - a warm wet hole is that and nothing more - so which do you want to be?

when the colour or the odour of the discharge changes it is a sign to get a doctor to check it. and you say you think you may have caught something? i gather this means you have been having s*x without a condom. get to the doctor as soon as you can- you don't want to wait in case you are right, and it is something bad. i hope it isn't. good luck.
