Question:

What could happen if I remove my piercing before 6 weeks?

I got my ears pierced last week Sunday. I have had no problems whatsoever from them.

Today I went out and bought myself some really cute new earrings...but my problem is that the piercer says I should wait at least 6 weeks before removing the titanium studs and putting in other earrings.

My question is, why? What will happen if...say, this Friday I replace my studs for a different pair of earrings for a family outing?

  1. Wait at least 4 weeks. But when you change them, KEEP THEM IN. for at least 2-3 weeks.

  2. you definitely have to keep them in

or else they'll close up and theres a HUUUUUGE chance your ears will become infected

    come on think about it

you just punched holes in your ears

you really need to give your ears time to heal

theres a reason why they tell you to keep your earrings in for 6 weeks

  3. they are not the right type of earrings for new ears, get infected and close up
