  2. Chinchillas rarely need bathes if they do get dirty spot clean them with a damp wash cloth or use a dust bath twice a week. If they do get wet it can irritate there skin and mat there fur also cause them to go into a depression. They get easily stressed by to much handling and other things.

  5. Nothing, just make sure he or she gets dried off and don't leave them in front of a fan or vent so they do not get a cold or pneumonia. If a chinchilla gets wet too often his or her skin can become dry and irritated.

    Generally chinchilla's prefer a dust bath to a literal bath.
