I have a friend that was complaining about having a bad headache and a feeling of something being stuck in his eye. The next morning he woke up and was completely blind in his left eye. What could have caused this?

  1. It could be anything but the very first thing i thought of when i read this was Optic Neuritis. It's a disease  where your optic nerve becomes swollen, which prevents you from seeing out of your eye. It can be treated, but it rarely has a full recovery, most people are left with blurry vision, color blind, etc. After on medication, it may take a little over a year for recovery... But I suggest he goes to the  doctor ASAP because the sooner this disease is caught the more it will recover. (this disease IS NOT, contagious)

best of luck! i know what its like, it can be a very bumpy ride.

  2. headache??? Migraine???

    retinal detahment

is the vision back, what did he do??

  3. That isn't possible is it? Probably a glass cut his retina.
