  1. You could create a small oscillator. Or just make some kind of a spark box that radiates static all over the RF spectrum.

But if you get caught, I don't know you.

  2. the only way to really make a TV go fuzzy would be to broadcast something at the same frequency at the TV is recieving, very awkward. If its to pull a prank i would recommend buying an all-in-1 remote and turn the tv off with the new remote subtly without anyone knowing that you've got it.

  3. invite mr. bean over

  4. As they said, basically the easiest way, as you asked, is to interrupt the signal at the antenna.

Just to add to what AlfonsoX said: You don't actually need the same frequency.  As the front end, the TV "radio" receiver has a finite dynamic range, if it gets a big signal on a vaguely near-by frequency, it will suffer from one signal swamping the other. The result is however similar: you need a big signal & transmitting a big signal will annoy others & maybe get you visitors.

Much easier to play hidden remote games.

  5. You want the TV-B-Gone. This was the scourage of CES 2008. Linkage below....

  6. just unplug the cable

  7. You can buy an attenuator from a TV store that reduces the signal on the antenna line.
