Work Hard and Long hours.  You want to go on a trip, you should pay.  You shouldn't be looking for a subsidy unless you are interested in giving more than you get.

I went on a trip last summer and even with a job, it was hard to raise enough.  I sold candy bars, Joe Corbi's Pizza's (these sold well), candles, my group held a basket bingo which went really well, and I sold lollipops.  I guess it depends on where you can sell things though, too.  I sold my stuff at my high school and a lot of the kids bought candy bars and lollipops from me everyday.
