me and my friend were watching videos on youtube and we saw these guys [cadegoestocollege & booshoe37] making shoes for eachother.

so we are going to do that this weekend because its about to be our 'friendship anniversary' for 9 years. we are going to be getting these shoes

http://www.payless.com/Catalog/productdetail.aspx?ItemCode=59118&ProductColor=White&Width=Regular&TLC=Mens&SLC=MensCasual&BLC=MensCasualCasual

and drawing on them with pencil and then go over with sharpie. but i need to know afterwards what i would put on the shoes to protect them from getting ruined.. we wont be wearing them in the rain, but through wear and tear?

clear fingernail polish after it dries, perhaps?

or is there some kind of spray we could use? thanks !

  1. There are special fabric paint pens available at craft and fabric stores.  The Sharpie brand pens are supposed to be permanent and may work just fine. You are bound to get wear and tear on the shoes no matter how careful you are.  Try using a spray on water repellant and re-apply every few months.  Good luck with your project.
