What could i put on my bedroom to act as a door to keep my siblings out???

my parents dont want to install a door because it would open out onto a busy route we use, and its at the end of a stairwell

i second on the beads. or just get a door that opens, but goes out in the direction inward towards your room. not out into the stairwell. kinda like a  backwards way for a door.

but its perfectly normal.

I think your parents need to take a reality check! How old are you? Everyone needs their privacy & it's just common sense to provide your children with it. There are those concertina doors, which also lock. Ask for one of those. And why would the door have to open out? Any builder worth his ticket could put in an inner opening one.

you could always have one of those curtains or beads. thats what i had for a while. but then i got. a door. but for more privacy yoiu can buy those hooks and attach a curtain to it. they come in many designs. and the bead strings are nice and come in alot of shapes but they get tangled and if u walk through it gets in your hair. lol. i totally reccomnd the curtain.
