What could my Hamster's lump be?

I have already written this but it doesn't appear to be showing so hear goes...

Yesterday evening, I noticed a pea-sized lump on my female Syrian's chest between her front legs. It can only be felt when she is on all fours and not when she is standing on her hind legs. It's hard and doesn't move.

She seems fairly normal in her behaviour.

I understand that hamsters are prone to developing cancer and other tumours which is what concerns me. She is still very young and is approximately 3 months old.

If you need anymore information, please ask and I will see what I can do. I would just love some feedback on this issue.

Before you advise so, also, I am planning on phoning the vet first thing tomorrow morning and getting her in. I just want a bit of information in the meantime.

  1. Well she might have a hernia. If she does, then you'd probably want to get it removed. I sure hope that she doesn't have anything serious though!
