Question:

What could possibly be the cause of a twitch that occurs several times a day when I am alone in a room?

This happens mostly when I am doing nothing or not focusing too intently on anything else. It absolutely never happens in front of other people, and the twitch ranges from my neck jerking to either side to my upper torso shaking. The twitches last for just the one second, and they rarely occur more frequently than a couple of times a day. I generally get the feeling when this happens that I am not alone anymore but have learned to try and put it aside and go back to whatever I was doing beforehand. Sometimes when home alone or walking thru the house at night, or just outside in general at night, I get the feeling that something is stalking me or lying in wait for me around a corner. To my knowledge I've never actually witnessed anything paranormal, though I do tend to believe in the paranormal on some level, and have come to believe that something paranormal is the cause of these twitches. What could possibly be causing them, as I've been living with them for years now.

  1. the twichings have got nothing to do with paranormal science

its just the normal thing in the human body

  2. If you have a real twitch you should ask in the medical section here instead of trying to connect it to something paranormal.

Lots of people have all sorts of twitches or shakes which are explainable and sometimes treatable.

  3. Could be a magnesium or potassium deficiency, try eating more bananas and see if it goes away.  I experience a twitch in my right calf from time to time, and the common eyelid twitch occasionally, and eating a banana or two a day for a couple days usually takes care of it.

  4. It has nothing to do with the paranormal. Muscles spasm and twitches happen to almost everyone and at anytime. Have a look at the following:

If you are concerned or they happen enough to be annoying go see your doctor.

  5. You're the first person who has described something that I've had. Ever since childhood I'd have a daily "twitch", a very brief muscle spasm all over and then it's gone, lasting less than a second. As I've gotten older these have lessened, and it's only maybe once or twice a week now.  I've never asked a doctor about this, but I suppose I should. It's never been a problem. My wife has noticed it but she thought I was just being goofy!  :) I've never thought of any reason why it should be paranormal related though.

  6. I believe it cdould be paramnormal. if you feel it other palces than home, then it couldn't be the common poltergiest. ive looked up the paranormal online and foudn tht if you have relatives tht died and rnt redy to cross ovr, may follow you. depending on how u new them, they could want help, or want to hurt you. you cant be sure until it actually does sumthin. let me know if anything happens. =-]

  7. I could be paranormal or it could be medical. First I would suggest you see a doctor before you assume this is paranormal! On Ghost Hunters it is said that the feeling your being watched can be caused by high EMF [electro magnetic field] readings. I get that twitch to and I shake as well, this only lasts for a few seconds, yes when I am alone. You should not jump to conclusions about things though. Consider both possibilities.

EDIT: No it is not paranormal, it is a muscle spasm. Get it checked out!!

  8. we all get that feeling of being watched or stalked when we're alone, and those are just muscle spasms, see a doctor, and try exercising more. youre perfectly normal hon.
