  1. Nothing. Both the sun and the Earth are way too small to acheive critical mass needed for an implosion that would yield a black hole.

  2. Well,you have your answer.

A black hole is an elegant theoretical entity which can be represented by a mathematical equation but there are some compelling reasons why a black hole is a non viable entity.

  3. nothing. the earth would have to be compressed into 9 mm. im not aware of any realistic way that the universe could compressed the earth into a 9 mm sphere.

  4. All the three answers before mine are correct.  Howerver, if hypothetically, you could crush the Earth into a size of 5Cm diameter, it would become a black hole.

  5. black holes are mostly formed from stars and hence earth wouldn't become one.. and sun is not so big as to form one.

  6. sun wont become a black hole

  7. I don't believe a planet can become a Black Hole.  A Black Hole is a collapsed, imploded star that got too big and it couldn't carry its own weight.  I'm not sure the Sun could ever get that big...

  8. nothing at all could make the sun transform into a black hole. so far, the only type of star that can actually transform into a black hole is the red giant. its so massive, that eventually when it explodes, it will form another star... a neutron star. this star is very small, with a diameter of about 10 miles, but has a gravitational pull close to that of infinity. it is so massive, and so dense, that it actually bends space time to the point where it will collapse under its own weight, making a "rip" in space time as oposed to a large dent. this rip is a black hole. these black holes are usually supermassive, and are a rare comodity.

if we wanted to make the sun into a black hole, we would have to load it with matter somehow, and make it more dense, and more massive. but i don't know why we would want to do that.

  9. A.) The Earth is a Planet. It can never become a black hole. It does not have a nuclear fusion process going on within its core like stars do. The Earth also does not begin to compare in size of mass to the mass of a star.

B.) Our star, the Sun, contains 99 percent of all of the mass within our Solar System. Still, compared to other stars, our Sun is rather small. So the probability that it might ever become a black hole is very remote (insufficient mass).

Hope that this answers your question.
