What could this be? Could it be an ectopic pregnancy (tubal pregnancy)?

I've been on the depo provera needle now for about a month. But 3 weeks ago I started bleeding and i have really bad cramping in my lower abdomen. It hasn't stoped yet. I have absolutely no energy, i'm shaky when i walk. I starting to get pale, because of all the blood loss. I get bloated everytime I eat. I need to pee really bad all the time but when I finally sit on the toilet, It takes forever to get it out. I read on the Depo Provera website that one of the risks of the Depo shot is Ectopic Pregnancies. Does this sound like like I'm having one?

PS. IF YOURE HAVING AN ECTOPIC PREGNANCY, COULD A BLOOD OR URINE PREGNANCY TEST COME BACK NEGATIVE??

  1. Honestly your symptoms sound like side effects from the shot. But yes there is a risk of tubal pregnancies with Depo.  It might be harder to get a positve home pregnancy test with a tubal pregnancy, but a blood test would most likely still be accurate. Also, the only way to confirm it is indeed a tubal pregnancy is by an ultrasound.

But like i said, since you just started the shot a month ago you are most likely feeling side effects of the shot, but you should call your doctor and tell him whats going on.

    Good luck!
