  1. Aww...I feel sorry for you. It will be okay though. It's very unlikely that you'll get bitten by whatever it was.

It's hard to know what sort of spider it was, but you do get Brown Recluses in Missouri. I'd suggest that you get someone to go with you and strip your bed, since I don't imagine you're going to feel safe sleeping in it as it is. Either shake out the bedding very well and put it back on the bed, or put clean sheets on.

Hopefully, you'll find the spider while you're in there and be able to see what it is. As you probably know, if it's a Brown Recluse, it will have a dark brown violin shape on the front part of it's body. Whatever it is, you could get someone to catch it on the end of a broom or some other safe way and take it outside and away from your house.

To minimize the chances of spiders getting on to your bed, it's a good idea to move your bed so it isn't touching the wall, and take off any bed skirt (I can't remember the proper name for them) that hangs and touches the floor. Also, keeping a room tidy helps a bit. The fewer places you have for spiders to hide, the fewer should be attracted to your room....and if they're there, you'll see them sooner.

    Hope that helps.
