  1. There's this movie called Pay It Forward. Its about this little boy who has a class project and comes up with an idea that if One person would do something extremely kind to three other people, and then these three people would pay it forward to three other people of their own and so on. I always thought that even though this is just a movie that maybe it just might work.

  2. Crime will be with us forever. A first step to better relations with the rest of the world is to reduce dependency on foreign oil so that the Islamic states can go do their own thing without what they perceive as hegemony by the West.

  3. crime is there eversince ,when cain killed abel.

how to make world peace i think peace should be start w/ ourselves..no crimes will happened if we have love and respect w/ others.

  4. crime is not going to go away even in a perfect society, some people just like stealing. world peace is not going to happen. its just a concept politicians use to justify their own agendas. sorry to burst your bubble but thats the cold hard facts.

to do something to make the world a better place, try random acts of kindness, start with your family and branch out from there

  5. People have been think about that and trying to do that for thousands of years. So far no luck.

  6. Peace starts in the home. If there is a happy home where all members of the family are kind and caring it usually spreads. But if we can't make the family work how can we make the world work?

  7. Issue every law-abiding a person a gun with a sack of ammunition. That will pretty much stop crime. The crooks won't break in if they think they may be shot to death.

  8. lets see -- crime -- started with Cane and Able did'nt it -- and

they were living pretty good in those days -- just cause mom and dad got kicked out of the Garden of Eden for eating the freakin apple (thanks Eve) -- crime will always be with us ---

what does world peace have to do with it? your neighbor will always want something u have -- and will figure out a way of stealin it from u --

  9. The only way this can happen is if everyone followed the teachings of Jesus, the Son of God. He gave us the perfect recipe for peace, love, joy, and fulifllment. He taught us to love everyone, even our enemies. It is very hard for an enemy to persecute one who loves him. His way is to tell the truth, be honest, treat others the way we want to be treated. Forgiveness is another necessity. If we are to be forgiven for the mistakes we make, we must forgive others.

Faith and trust in Him as the Son of God and the perfect way to please our Creator is the only way to live.

  10. Crime and war will are inevitable in a world where 1 per cent of the population controls 99 per cent of the wealth and resources.

  11. Crime prevention is a complex social problem. It is a way of life for some people who spend their life stealing and committing other crimes. It is just a Utopian dream that will never happen.

You will understand what I mean if you read Edward Bellamy's book, Looking Backward with a foreword by Erich Fromm. Just a few words from the back cover will give you an idea that I am not being cynical.

"The backdrop for Edward Bellamy's prophetic novel about a Boston gentleman who is mysteriously transported from the nineteenth to the twenty-first century - from a world of war and want to a world of peace and plenty."

Certainly there are honest and good people who sincerely believe that all people will become like them.

Look at what's happening in world politics. We are living in a strife-torn society full of ethnic and religious violence. This has been happening since the Biblical times and will continue to happen for centuries to come.

Powerful nations are involved in numerous small wars. There is an arms race going on for developing powerful and deadly weapons.

This is not the worst-case scenario for the next world war because that will be a war of mutual destruction. No nation can take such a risk nor will another Hitler rise to attack other nations. Yet the twilight world of espionage will continue with more sophisticated technology. And there will also be more sophisticated ways to monitor the activities of the spies and terrorists.

Young people like you, who ask these questions, should develop an awareness of organized social and political crimes such as human trafficking, child labour, drug smuggling and  terrorism which continue to plague the world in the 21st century.

To get a clear perspective, you should read Moises Naim's book, Illicit, which according to Washington Post is 'fascinating and frightening'.

You have asked pointedly, " ...what we could all do to make a difference!"

    The answer is:

You cannot change the world but you certainly can make a difference if you continue to develop and promote an attitude of tolerance for other religions, cultures and participate in any way you can, to mitigate the sufferings of the poor and marginalised  people.

In many parts of the world, married women are still treated as their husband's property, young children are working as bonded labour to redeem the debts of their parents. Young girls are sold or abducted to foreign countries by organized crime to live a life of slavery and work as prostitutes .

You question is interesting because this way we can share our ideas and create and awareness on the Internet.

  12. We are the world, we are the future.

  13. we could give everybody a hug.

  14. You must be very young. sigh

Crime is a condition of the human race.  It will always exist.  As long as there are poor and hungry.  As long as illegal drugs are prevalent.

Making the world a better place is only a dream.  Reality is, as long as we humans keep increasing in numbers, things will only get worse.

About the only thing you can do, to make things better, is to shut the rest of the world out of your world.  Do the best you can in your niche.  Worry about your loved ones.  This is what the majority of us do anyway.

  15. Although crime and dispute will always exist, there are things that agitate it.  Therefore I believe the level of violence around the world (crime and war) could be significantly reduced.  Improvement of anything is always possible.

The rich take advantage of the poor and wage war just to take from them, and the poor rob from the rich just to survive.

If those with plenty would live more humbly and without so many luxuries than I believe more people could have the necessities to survive.

But people aren't just going to do this on their own, trade needs obtain a new policy.  ***** I believe the main goal in trade should be for a customer to obtain quality products instead of for a business to make money. *****

It seems that the goal in business is to get the most money out of the most inexpensive and ephemeral products.

If  people with good product could have a good trade to survive on instead of the one's who already have a foothold in the market, than wealth would be more evenly distributed.

And with more small businesses surviving than the middle class will re-establish itself shrinking the poor and rich classes.  This way the wealthy would not be so emensly wealthy and would have to live more humbly, and the companies producing superficial luxurys would have to stop producing so much of that trash.
