I'm babysitting my toddler sister and she's sick. Is there anything that could make her feel better?

  1. When my toddler is sick, she likes to just sit in my lap while I cuddle her (like all day).  I'll generally just soothe her, and cuddle her while we watch cartoons or something.  It makes for a uneventful day, but if my baby sick, then I give her extra attention.

  2. Make her a "sick couch," Take bunches of her favorite blankets, pillows, and toys and make her a nice bed on the couch. Then maybe watch a special movie with her. Oh and give her a Popsicle :)

  3. put kids tv on, try to make her laugh, offer her sweets, play games with her

  4. Lots of extra hugs, kisses and cuddles... and a special snack like an ice-pop or ice-cream (unless she is sick with a stomach virus).

  5. she needs lots of love just hold her tell her that you love her .. tell her how medication now are killing those filthy germs and that there's a mini war in her body .. and her body is winning woohoo make her look at her eyes ... wow see i told you look  better see how better you are ... now let's sit together and i will tell you your favorite story " or watch her favorite cartoon " .

  6. * cold juice in a fun cup or that she can drink through a crazy straw

    * get a metal 9x13 cake pan and put crayons, coloring books, magnets (if they will stick), and small toys in it that she can play with on the couch while laying down.  When you flip the pan over it works as a lap desk to color or do magnets on.

    * let her watch her favorite movie on the TV.

    * healthy snacks like fruit, toast cut out with a fun cookie cutter, make her some warm soup and put in a sippy cup for her to drink, cold juice boxes or frozen juice cubes, jello

    * puppets are always easy to play with and snuggle

    * read to her

    * keep a phone handy so if she spikes a fever or has another issue you're not sure how to handle you can call your parents and see what you should do until they can get there

    * keep her calm and comfortable as possible, limit the noise and let her rest while being attentive to things she needs.

  7. dress up and make her laugh..pedialyte..watch some disny flicks and hold her in your arms with her favorite doll.. pretend your sick too, so she wont feel shes alone and missing out on all the fun
