What countries are beautiful in europe with the old style towns with the paved roads?

What countries in europe are there where there towns and the old style where there roads are paved and most of the buildings or made of stone???

You can find old towns almost everywhere in Europe.  Germany has the most (look up the "Romantic Road", which links many beautiful and historic towns).  The regions Provence in France and Tuscany in Italy are also known for their beautiful small towns.

All of them. Personally, I think Germany and Italy are the most historical and beautiful countries to visit, that is it you are looking to see the history and authenticity of the country

With the exception of Scandinavian towns and villages, where wood is used in the building of houses.

Best preserved cities are in what was USSR area, as the communists couldn't get it together to do a lot of rebuilding.
