  1. You will need a visa for all of those countries.  In most cases, holding a visa for another country (or group of countries like the Schengen zone) will not affect visa requirements for nearby locations.

    Macedonia: http://www.mfa.gov.mk//Upload/ContentMan...

    Bulgaria: http://www.mfa.bg/en/index.php?option=co...

    Serbia:  http://www.mfa.gov.yu/Visas/VisasR.htm

    Croatia: http://www.mvpei.hr/MVP.asp?pcpid=1615&d...

You may be able to enter one or more of the above countries for a very limited period on a transit visa (while traveling from one Schengen state to another).  However, in many cases, you may still be required to apply for this visa in advance.

i.e. Bulgarian transit visa info:  http://www.bulgarianembassy.org.uk/visa/...

  2. The simple answer is none.  The Schengen visa as it already implies from it's name, is for the Schengen zone countries only and not valid for other countries

If you wish to travel to any of the others on a Syrian passport you must obtain a visa for each of them.  I know because I checked this sometime ago for another question

Also take care, if you only have a single entry Schengen visa and exit to one of these countries, you will not be able to re-enter the Schengen zone unless it is a multi-entry Schengen visa

  3. While it's called a Schengen visa for a reason, there are a couple of microstates that have open borders with the Schengen Countries - The Republic of San Marino (Italy), Vatican City (Italy), and Monaco (through France) are not formally signatories of Schengen, but there are no border checks going in or coming out. As the others have told you, the Schengen visa is not valid in the other large non-member countries.
