In the USA, if your city withdraws from a downstream lake or river, you are drinking recycled water.  One city drinks it, discharges it, it goes downstream, and another city purifies it and those citizens drink it again.

Everybody drinks water that is recycled.

Most take sewer water from our homes and remove stuff and clense it and send it back for our use. Even ones that do that still get extra water from natural sources like rivers and streams. Even if a country uses rivers and streams exclusively the water that we did use still got dumped into our rivers and streams and oceans which made it's way back to our local system.

Even people that use well water are consuming recycled water. It was still cast off from someone somewhere and made it's way back to the well system that is in use.
