  1. It's basically south America, central America and Mexico and the Caribbean. And its called latin america because their culture is latin eg: latin food, latin music, etc. and their language spanish comes almost exclusively from latin.

    The complete list of countries:

Mexico, belize, guatemala, Honduras, san salvadore, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, French Guyana, Suriname, Guyana, Venezuela...

That's just central and south American countries. The caribean nations are:

Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago.... list goes on forever of tiny little islands of 2,000 people.

  2. Latin America, refers to the countries of America that speak romance languages, languages derived from latin. So it includes all countries that speak Portuguese, Spanish and French. Actually even though technically French is a latin language those countries usually are not considered Latin American since they're so different in terms of languare, culture, history, races, economy, etc, that it makes no sence to group them with the rest. That's why the term Iberian American would be the ideal. There are 20 countries in Latin America:

    Brazil

    Uruguay

    Argentina

    Chile

    Paraguay

    Bolivia

    Peru

    Ecuador

    Colombia

    Venezuela

    Panama

    Costa Rica

    Nicaragua

    Honduras

    El Salvador

    Guatemala

    Mexico

    Cuba

    Dominican Republic

Puerto Rico (which is not an independent country)

  3. Spain, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Chile, Ecuador, Panama, El Salvador, Peru, Cuba, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Costa Rica, Argentina, Bolivia and Puerto Rico even though the last one is under USA domain

  4. I agree with the first 2 answers - no point writting the same.

  5. Most of the counties in Latin America speak a Latin based language like Spanish or Portuguese. A few do not (such as Guyana, Belize, Jamaica and a few others)
