  1. the top countries include

    Africa

    china

    India

    USA

  2. africa

  3. Well- I have done some reading on this and from my information this is what I have gathered.

Guatemala- has a high fertility rate and babies are being born faster than they have resources.

China- With the one child rule and most families wanting a boy- 95% of the children adopted are girls. Many of the girls who stay in China end up in the seedy underbelly of China.

Russia- Russia has more of a problem with older children getting adopted. You would actually probably have to wait for a baby there. The older kids usually don't get adopted and end up on the street quickly.child prostitution is really high there.

Africa- the disease there is terrible and so many kids are starving and contracting these diseases.

So it depends which of those scenarios sound more pressing to you.  These are supposedly the top 4 in need.

  4. i'd say china bc they need to limit there kids and stuff and plus theres more girls up for adoption there:/(

  5. I don't think a lot of countries are open for people to adopt. I know that China has a whole lot because of the limit on the number of children that they are allowed to have. They tend to put their girls up for adoption because a boy child is more valued in their culture.

If other countries were open to adoption, I would say that Africa would be a good choice. Of course, you have a high incidence of children with aids & chronic malnutrition (which can affect intelligence). There's also a lot of other health concerns also. When I see a little baby starving in his momma's arms with flies all over the place it saddens me to the core. If they were available for adoption, I wonder how many would actually adopt them from other countries???

  6. The United States.

  7. The poorest countries, and the countries with non "blonde haired, blue eyed" children.  Race and ethnicity were a big factor in the trend of couples flocking to Russia to adopt children a few years back.  Thank God that trend has changed, and now there are children of ALL races and ALL ethnicities HERE in the U.S. with LONG lists of approved adoptive parents hoping to adopt them!  That demand for "white" children outside the U.S. created the "supply" -- Russian (etc.) parents giving over their children to the state, and governments of countries like Russia, Ukraine, etc. not taking care of their own children because it is more profitable to allow U. S. citizens adopt them.  There are, of course, now many children languishing in orphanages.  In terms of children in the poorest of 3rd World countries (Africa, etc.), we have ignored the needs of those countries for so many centuries that they are not able to take care of their own -- and many of those children will not survive without being adopted.

  8. The U.S.
