I would say that most countries of the world either produce or import crude oil (Petroleum) and refine it to produce petroleum products like Petrol and much more.

Those that don't import the crude oil, import the petrol and other petroleum products in their usable form.

Any country that has companies that can afford to refine crude oil.

Petrol or gasoline as it is called in the United States is what you get when you refine crude oil.

Crude oil is what is brought out of the ground by the companies that drill for oil.

The US produces a lot.  China, Japan, Korea....  Iran doesn't produce much, even though they have a lot of oil.
