For example, the USA has "In God We Trust" on theirs. Scotland has 'Nemo Me Impune Lacessit' which means 'none provoke me unpunished'. I was interested to see what other countries have on theirs and what it says about their national identity.

  1. HI, im from the Philippines.

The Philippine Currency is technically spelt piso, but it´s usually referred to as the peso(P). It´s divided into 100 centavos(c). There are coins of 1,5,10 and 25 centavos(c), 1 and 5 pesos and until 1998, 50 centavos and 2 pesos. From 1998, only coins inscribed “Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas” will be legal tender. Banknotes are available in denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 pesos.

There's no specific lines for all the banknotes that will tell us of our identity, but our national currency includes pictures of important people, events, and places which will tell you of our history.

but what i like the most is the inscription in our 500 peso bill, which is "the Filipino is worth dying for" from one of the greatest Filipino's who fought for freedom and democracy - Benigno Aquino, JR.

  2. GREAT Idea. I have

Indonesian Rupiah = 'Dengan rahmat Tuhan yang maha esa, Bank Indonesia mengeluarkan uang sebagai alat pembayaran yang sah dengan nilai', meaning 'With God's permission Bank Indonesia issued this notes as a legal tender with value:'

Singapore Dollar = 'This note is legal tender'
