What country do English people feel the closest ties to?

I'm guessing it's Ireland, Canada or Australia.

  1. am actually gonna say the USA, even though nobody likes them, we are still closely connected


  2. mabye but in all countrys is speaking the original language and a strange language(english)

  3. Scotland for me ... my grandparents were Scottish, and even though the Scots seem to hate the English, i like them :-)

    and Wales and Northern Ireland can go in that group as well because we are all part of the UK and they are all British Citizens

  4. Well I'm from Ulster and I feel closest to the English, Scottish, and Welsh so I imagine it is like that for the English and everyone else in the United Kingdom - we're all British after all.

    Canada and Australia have more in common with the United States.

  6. The closest to us in attitude are the Danish, but after all they are part of our heritage too.

    That's where we all go every summer given the choice....
