On a per capita basis, USA, Australia and Canada top the list of emitters.

In total, China has moved into the  lead because of its enormous population. Iceland is close to being the least contributing developed country on a per capita basis.

Africa of course is not a country, but a continent.

Large desert areas would appear to have little to do with emissions, but large areas of desert and drought stricken lands are a major problem because they fail to absorb CO2, whereas had they water they would be absorbing enough CO2 to completely reverse the growth of CO2.

Well lets see just in the U.S every year we dump 300 million tons of AAA batteries into our earth which in turn shifts the earths core-now imagine how many car batteries and others like cell phones,laptops,C,D,AA and on and on and that's just batteries now think of the nuke waste in Nev. causing the highest rates of thyroid cancer in the world right now.  I can go on and on but we do have the technology and have rechargeable's we have lots of knowledge but seldom use it!

None of them.  Global warming is a scam.  But we know that China and India pollute the most, then Russia, USA and Mexico.  This doesn't cause global warming though.

China is slightly more than the US in total, but the US leads in emissions per person.  Australia is second there.

Pollution caused global warming is BS, but China is the largest country with the worst pollution (so bad that you can barely see through it--unlike here in the US where we have clean emissions standards and other health standards).  That's why they are testing athletes for "asthma" for these Olympics--they don't want athletes to die and make China look bad.
